This week we're talking about what in the world fashion and personal style have to do with sisterhood and the divine feminine. What am I talking about? Let me explain.

If you know me personally, you know that I am addicted to clothes. I was born that way. My mother says that I started fussing or not to tell her what I wanted to wear that day before I could even walk. To me, decorations are a way to express your internal self, whether the artwork you hang in your home or the clothes you wear each day. In high school, people didn't know what to do with me because I dressed entirely differently each day. One day, I showed up in heels, a skirt, and a sheer button-up shirt reminiscent of Cher in Clueless. The next was ripped jeans, combat boots, and all-black.

In recent years, I've struggled to accept this side of myself. I feel more empowered when I feel like I've nailed the OOTD. But, the more I lean into a sustainable, holistic, natural lifestyle, the more I feel at odds with fast fashion and my overstuffed closet. However, every time I try to pare it down, I regret it because I don't have the clothing and accessories to match my various moods. And, as much as I love thrifting, I can't always find the look I need secondhand. These competing desires have been warring within me for several years now. I felt like there was no way to find a middle ground between the two.

Then, I stumbled across Jessica Zweig's podcast, 'The Spiritual Hustler,' specifically the Tali Kogan episode on "style, sisterhood, and calling forth your inner queen." Tali was born in the Ukraine, lived in Israel, and immigrated to the United States as a mail-order bride stuck in an abusive relationship. Over time, she overcame those challenges and dove headfirst into her love of fashion. Through it, she discovered her own divine feminine power and started a business as a personal stylist to help other women do the same.

Listening to Jessica and Tali discuss the impact fashion and personal style have on sisterhood and the divine feminine was an eye-opening experience for me - one that I hope to share with you. So, if you love fashion but also want to align with the highest version of yourself, this podcast episode might be just the thing for you. It may help you discover how to dress like your inner goddess queen. Please give it a listen, and then email me and let me know what you think
